“During our life, everything we wear is put to the test of endurance. I see the consequences of abrasion, stress and other influences as part of the formation of the character of a given piece of clothing and material. Every abrasion, hole, caught eye and subsequent patching or reinforcement are irreplaceable accidents for me, where an ordinary garment becomes my own original. Therefore, we took merino wool socks and subjected them to rough treatment, resulting in a hole and loosening of the mesh. This gave an otherwise plain sock a new kind of decoration.”
