Michaela Červená studied textile design at the Faculty of Art and Design at the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. Her work is anchored in a subtle feminine approach using traditional craft techniques such as weaving and embroidery. The materials she uses serve to explore themes that relate to our everyday life and reflect on our own identity. The character of her paintings is very subtle, yet in some places she retains the original structure of the canvas. Her embroidered paintings, diary entries and automatic paintings have quickly become easily recognizable for their exceptionally poetic style and unusual approach.
